Exercise is cumulative

You do not need to exercise until you fall down.  Take a walk, slow at first.  Walk the dog if you care about him or her more than yourself.  Whatever gets you up and moving.  Did you ever notice that dogs and cats stretch each and every time they get up?  Great advice.  Stretch to keep those muscles lengthened and joints lubricated.

Weight and Fat Loss Before, During and After Menopause

After menopause, weight and fat loss are of a concern at this stage of life, I am going to work backwards. As we grow older many occurances change within our bodies that are beyond our control. Getting fat is one challenge that is within our control. Caring whether we are fat or caring long enough to do anything about it is another matter. Weight and fat loss management after menopause is a particular challenge.

Where is the motivation to maintain a healthy weight and a stable body fat? Feeling sexy is not as much of a motivator as it was in our 20's, 30's and 40's. Health really does come into play. Your health at this stage of life does become a motivator to weight and fat loss. Eating those veggies takes on a whole new meaning. Being healthy enough to take care of yourself becomes an important issue. Fear of being dependent on someone else in the future can be a great motivator.
